After preparation, the raw placenta is placed into a dehydrator. This process must be done within the first 48 hours after birth to ensure freshness and avoid contamination. Using the raw method helps preserve the most nutrients provided by the placenta.

You may want to encapsulate if you experienced a long labor, postpartum hemorrhage, have a history of anxiety/depression, or desire to increase breast milk and energy immediately postpartum.

Tinctures are made by adding a small piece of the placenta into 100-150 proof alcohol, left to age for 6 weeks, and then strained. It is stored in a 2-ounce dropper bottle. It may be used even after capsules are gone in times of stress, anxiety, and emotional lows.
